The Design Automation Award is given from time to time, but never more than once each year, to recognize sustained meritorious contribution to research in Design Automation. Nominations for this award can be made by any member of ASME to the Chair of the Design Automation Executive Committee. The nomination package should include specific details of the nominee's contributions to the area of Design Automation and a critical explanation of why these contributions are significant enough to warrant the award. A curriculum vitae should also be included for the nominee, along with letters of recommendation from other researchers in the nominee's field. Unsuccessful nomination packages will be held for consideration for two additional years. Providing supplemental documentation such as the updated curriculum vitae and nomination letter is strongly encouraged for such nominations submitted earlier. The recipient is selected among the nominees by Design Automation Honors and Awards Technical Subcommittee appointed by the Chair of the Design Automation Executive Committee. The recipient will be given a monetary award and presented with a certificate at the award ceremony, which will be held at the ASME DETC/CIE Conference. Read the current announcement for the DA Award. Nomination materials must be submitted by 5pm EST, on April 30, 2010. Want to nominate someone? Please contact Prof. Kazuhiro Saitou.
